Susie

Our Susie has been at the S.P.A. since April 30, 2011. She was 2-1/2 years old when she showed up by herself on that day, pregnant and ready to give birth which she did that evening – nine puppies. She has changed a lot over the years, from a dog that non-S.P.A. workers feared to a loving, affectionate, happy dog that no one fears. Now smaller and with a very white face, medium-sized Susie loves getting attention and affection and is more than willing to reciprocate with kisses. She is a very smart dog, alert and attentive. As seen in her video below from years ago, she sits on command. She loves going for a walk.. She likes to snuggle in her crate with a soft blanket. Her playgroup is the younger, smaller dogs, the ones that most remind her of her own puppies from long ago.

We have watched Susie age gracefully and now starting to struggle with a few minor health issues. In all these years, no one has asked about adopting her. But she hasn’t suffered for being overlooked – we, at the S.P.A. love and cherish her and will always be there for her.

Meet Susie at the S.P.A. any day, Monday-Saturday, between 11 and 2.
