Susie was taken into the S.P.A. when she showed up by herself, hugely pregnant. That evening, she delivered nine puppies and turned out to be the best mother dog we’ve seen! Most mothers are happy when their puppies are weaned – ready for some independence. Not Susie – she climbed over the fence in Puppy World so she could spend some more time with them! Medium/large, Susie loves getting affection and is most willing to reciprocate with kisses. Susie is a very smart dog, alert and attentive. She sits on command and walks well on a leash. At times, she is anxious around young boys, so would do best in a home without any. She would also be best in a home where she is the only dog, although she loves puppies, teenagers, and smaller dogs – her mothering instinct is very strong. Susie came to the S.P.A. on April 30, 2011 when she was about 2-1/2 years old.
Let us introduce you to Susie at the S.P.A. any day, Monday-Saturday, between 11 and 2.
