Cooper came to the S.P.A. on September 20, 2019 when he was about 4 years old. He is a Golden Retriever mix with a medium/large Golden’s sweet, friendly disposition. Rescued from animal control in the nick of time, he enjoys going for walks and walks very well on a leash, rarely pulling. He loves attention and is eager for you to spend some time with him. He just stretches out next to you in contentment.
He’s a smart boy – knows how to sit, learning how to “wait,” and has pretty much mastered “leave it.” Superman that he is, he can leap buildings (and fences) in a single bound, so he needs to be in a high-walled home, without any cats. Although he gets along fine with his S.P.A. group of dogs, he sometimes reacts to street/roof dogs, so he might be better as the only dog in the house.
Meet Cooper at the S.P.A., any day Monday-Saturday, between 11 and 2.
