"Hope, Health and Homes for Cats & Dogs In Need."

The S.P.A. is an organization existing for the well being of abandoned and homeless dogs and cats in San Miguel de Allende and environs. Our on-premise clinic offers low cost health care for pets owned by people of modest means. We also provide spay/neuter services to help curb animal reproduction. The people who serve this organization are individuals dedicated to bringing more awareness of the important gifts animals provide humans. The first level of this is taking care of the animals' needs. This Association enthusiastically seeks permanent loving homes for ALL of our resident animals.

Our expenses are high, as are our spirits. Donations from you are the mainstay of our operation. We have no help from the local government. We would like to continue to expand our focus on capacity of premises, community outreach programs and quality of daily resident care. Private Fundraisers are part of our annual events (see calendar,) and each year they become finer, more effective, and more fun.

11:15 to 1:15 each week!

Each Thursday between 11:00 am and 1:15 pm, the Sociedad Protectora de Animales brings to the Jardin the week's premium animals available for adoption. You will find us with a banner, a table with information, an adoption book showing all of our current animal residents, and several volunteers who tend to, and give information about the individual animals featured that particular Thursday. We welcome your visit.
